Artistic Series

These series are our passions on paper!  Throughout the year, we create an entire series around topics that we love. Naturally, these articles become some of the “Best of” at here Save the Artist.

Take your time to read through them and get to know us better through them. After you finish a series, make sure to apply what you’ve learned and go create something new. And if you find them really helpful, share them with other artists that you might know.

Here are the series that we’ve finished or are in the process of working on:

The Guide to Being a Student Artist

When we took a look at studying art, we had no idea it would make that big of an impact. But it seems to be a fitting place to begin. So Chase created our first ever series here at STA called “The Student Artist”.

  • Take a look here and we hope you love being a student again!
  • When you study art, you become part of something bigger than just you.  You’re standing on the shoulders of those artists that came before you and creating things they could only imagine.

Top 10 Most Iconic (And Original) American Foods

Let’s be honest – there’s a lot of “Top 10/50/100″ lists out there with food.   Lauren wanted to take a slightly different approach.  She looked at the top 10 foods that define America as not a melting pot, but as an inventive, forward-thinking, North American country.

  • Check out the most iconic American foods we could find!
  • Remember, food can be an art!

Interviews with Artists

We love talking with other artists.  It’s the cornerstone to everything we do here at Save the Artist.  Every chance we get, we’re off to interview one and bring it back for you to enjoy.

  • The Skin Artist – An interview with Krista Widmann, a tattoo artist.
  • I Am – An interview with photographer Claire Burton
