Our New Podcast Network!
There’s an old story of the natives in Papua, New Guinea experiencing their first encounter with a radio. They’re first reaction was to demand the see the little man inside of the strange box. Obsessed by the magic quality to fit a small man into that radio box, the natives called it “Bokis, he cry,” – in English, “the box that cries.”
That’s one way to describe the sound of music and voice coming from that magical box. Nowadays, it’s not so much a magic box but an entire network of radio shows you can download right to your iPod. The popularity of these broadcasts speaks to the fact that radio is really an extension of ourselves. We listen to it in our cars, at work, from our phones, our iPods, etc. Sure, TV and movies are great, and who doesn’t love a good book – but there’s something different about hearing a voice through the speakers and reaching out to connect with it. We share that moment with the person on the other end.
That’s why we’re so very excited about our newly launched Save the Artist podcast network.
Broadcasting for creative minds of every kind. We’re on a mission to cover it all – from high art and philosophic matters to the inspiration in our favorite TV shows and movies. We’ve got a thousand ideas and a growing community full of artists who we’re more than a little excited to talk to. You can listen to any of our podcasts streaming over the web or download them for your ride to work. We hope you’ll find inspiration in our everyday musings and pass it on by starting discussions with your own community of creative minds.
We’ve got an outstanding section of shows already launched and even more in the works. Our STA podcast will have something for everyone, and from there – you’ll find shows for a variety of interests. From culinary artists to photographers to TV critics, we’ll deliver the best curated content to you every week.
Tell us what shows you enjoy and what else you’d like to see – we’re listening. This broadcast network has been a long-awaited step for us, and we’re so glad we finally took the leap.
Enormous and monumental thanks go out to Chase for ALL his incredibly hard work in creating and coordinating this project thus far. I swear, I don’t know anyone as dedicated – or anyone who works as hard as my husband. Make sure to leave him some love for all the effort!
