The New Design

Welcome to the new and infinitely-more-swanky Save the Artist site!

From our beginning with STA six months ago, we’ve been focused on bringing you the most creative and inspirational works of art from every discipline. We want to highlight and celebrate ALL the creative minds in the world, and we plan make a scene – now more than ever before. Because now STA is more than just a blog – it’s a movement.

The real beauty in the new site lies in the power it gives to you. We’re launching the new design because it gives you a place to show your work! With our new community page, you will finally be able to show off your mad skills and be inspired by the work of others. You’ll be able to submit anytime, and we’ll even sponsor inspiring contests and themes for you to create from.

We hope that STA will give you a place to focus on your niche in this world and connect with others that share your passion about it. But what’s really great is that you won’t have to limit yourself to just that niche but learn from others as well. Dancers, designers, photographers, and filmmakers can all come together and learn what they can bring to each other’s world. From here we’ll grow into a force so strong that total world domination is basically….inevitable.

Why have we built this new STA community? Because we need each other. In order to inspire others with your work, you must first be inspired by others. Being a part of an artistic community offers you comfort when you hit that seemingly insurmountable wall. It can help inspire you to think in new ways by seeing the work of other artists. It provides an environment for you to receive constructive feedback and advice on the work that you are doing.

Together, we’ll become the remarkable minority of creators who are ready to change the world’s perception about art.

We’ll be honest – we’re really excited about this. We hope that we are able to grow this community into something truly great! Instead of painstakingly describing every new aspect of the site, just go explore! Artists usually throw away instruction manuals anyway – so we won’t bore you with one. But be sure to tell us what you like (or don’t like so much) and keep coming back to see what’s new!

This new design is indeed a group effort and I’m thrilled with the ones we’re lucky enough to have on our editorial team here. So I’ll take this small opportunity to give a big thanks to those who have worked so hard on this site so far. Our journey is really just beginning!

And more importantly, many thanks to you! The community here is a living, breathing, and growing work of art that you help create!
